Rotunda is very familiar with the law that protects troops, and their families. Her expertise includes the
Service Member Civil Relief Act (SCRA), the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA), the Uniformed
Services Former Spouses Protection Act (USFSPA), and the Traumatic Service Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) program. She
is also familiar with military administrative and medical law. Rotunda has helped countless military families and
troops with civil legal disputes including landlord tenant disputes, negotiating cell phone contract disputes, and various
consumer protection matters.
Combat Wounded
Rotunda, along with her clinical students at George Mason, filed successful Traumatic Service
Group Life Insurance (TSGLI) appeals, recovering $125,000.00 in the summer of 2007. She understands the
TSGLI appellate process, and knows how to draft a winning appeal.
Physical Evaluation Boards
Rotunda has represented hundreds of disabled soldiers before the Army's Physical Evaluation Board
(PEB). She has also drafted successful PEB appeals. She has recovered full military disability retirement for
severely injured troops. She is a skilled orator and advocate, and understands the PEB system from the inside out.
